This report examines the development of environmental statistics and environmental accounts in the Netherlands, and their use in policy-making, since the early 1970s. Emphasis is put primarily on the interaction between those who produce the environmental accounts and statistics, the intermediaries, and the final use of these statistics in decision-making.
