Following the guidance of the methodology working group, and in particular their suggestion to prioritize field-testing of different methodologies for ecosystem accounting, PTEC organized a small workshop to design pilots for ecosystem accounting in two sites - Himachal Pradesh and Peru -- and to explore the possibility of coordinating with on-going on ecosystem accounting led by University of Wageningen’s EcoSpace project. Discussions during the workshop contributed to the development of draft guidelines for designing pilots but also helped identify knowledge gaps which were holding back progress on developing the methodology.
