Australian Environmental-Economic Accounts, 2017

The total value of Australia's environmental assets or natural capital was $6,138 billion at 30 June 2016, more than double the value of $2,953 billion in 2006, according to a report by the Australian Bureau of Statistics. These values have been generated using data sourced from major commonwealth and state government agencies according to relevant international statistical standards.
